What are your favorite places to run?
The trails at Mohonk Preserve in New Paltz, NY and the “Mountain Loop” in Forest City, PA.
What has been your most satisfying performance?
My marathon at Grandma’s last June. It was my second marathon and a completely different experience from my first one. I finished in a conscious state.
What are your pre-race rituals/superstitions?
Gotta have some coffee, preferably Starbucks, before a race.
What is your favorite restaurant/food?
Food – pancakes, especially homemade ones and Anna’s Taqueria super steak burritos.
Restaurant – Cambridge One and Border Café, both in Cambridge, MA.
What is your biggest hidden talent?
I can splice an atom with my bare hands.
What is your favorite movie and book?
Movie – Maybe “Better Off Dead”.
Book – “Atlas Shrugged” by Ayn Rand
What is your favorite Starbucks drink?
Grande Americano
What is your favorite race?
Grandma’s Marathon and a close second is the Dallas White Rock half marathon, both very well-organized events with lots of friendly people involved.
What is your favorite thing about the Driftwood house?
It’s a one-story, therefore there are no stairs for my tired legs to climb. I also like when Monica does her best Betty Crocker and bakes us goodies.
Who has been the biggest influence in your running success?
Several people, including my parents, my brothers, my college coach, Art Gulden, the Bucknell alumni network, and my main man T-bone.
